Massage & Bodywork
Dylan Louis
I like to spend a few minutes before each session to communicate and see how you are feeling. I will listen to your words and your body. I want to hear what it is that makes great massage even better for you. I also encourage clients to feel free to communicate with me at any point during the massage about the pressure or their comfort in general. ( For example: You don't need to feel silly asking to use the bathroom half-way through a massage, or tell me you're too warm or cold) Being in touch with one an other's energy will allow for a better overall session.

Intention
A great massage begins with clear intentions on both the part of the practitioner and the client. I try my best to offer a judgment free experience - with an openness that allows you to hopefully convey what your body and mind might be feeling .
Technique
Swedish massage offers a combination of kneading, rolling, vibration, percussive, and tapping movements with the application of oil, to reduce friction on the skin. This, coupled with the five basic strokes all flowing toward the heart are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body. After warming the superficial muscles- deeper muscles can be worked on with more pressure using resistance techniques to release deep tensions locked in your body. While Swedish massage is a base that i use- there are many styles and elements i have adopted from other modalities over the last 20 years. Incorporating tools like rollers, heated hand tools and steamed aromatic towels - i have combined these elements and others to create my own unique style of bodywork.
Communication
Creating an relaxing atmosphere is such an interesting expression. Using ambient light play and music as well as diffused essences - these elements help guide people towards a chill feeling... Somewhere you can feel relaxed enough for some potential physical or emotional shift to take place. I love editing tracks for my session playlist- it helps me focus my energy and hopefully transports the client to somewhere beautiful as well..... Sound vibration is very primal and I identify with it in a big way.. Im definitely open to adding tracks you know and love to your session playlist :)
Ambience
Cannabis Oil
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system that helps the body maintain balance. The ECS is made up of naturally occurring molecules called endocannabinoids and their receptors. Cannabis oil, which contains cannabinoids like cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), can interact with the ECS to produce a variety of effects.
Cannabis massage oils can interact with the body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) to provide a variety of benefits, including:
-
Pain relief
CBD oil can help with pain relief by binding with endocannabinoid molecules in the body and activating receptors in the ECS system (migraines, fibromyalgia, arthritis, muscle spasms)
-
Relaxation
CBD oil can help reduce stress and anxiety by interacting with the ECS system
-
Inflammation
CBD oil has natural anti-inflammatory effects that can help calm sore muscles and joints.
-
Skin health
CBD oil can help improve the health and appearance of skin. The ECS system is involved in skin functions like wound healing, barrier functions, and sebaceous gland activity.
CBD is a cannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant that connects the central and peripheral nervous systems.
When applied to the skin, CBD oil can absorb through pores and bind with cannabinoid receptors.
